At Tomah Area School District, we are proud to celebrate Career & Technical Education (CTE) Month and the incredible opportunities CTE instruction provides our students at both the middle and high school levels.
So, what is CTE?
Career & Technical Education connects classroom learning to real-world skills. CTE courses give students hands-on experiences in areas like agriculture, health care, business, technology, engineering, culinary arts, and more. These classes help students explore career pathways, earn industry-recognized certifications, build leadership skills, and gain practical knowledge they can use in college, technical training, the military, or directly in the workforce.
A strong CTE program means:
- Hands-on, project-based learning
- Career exploration starting in middle school
- Real-world problem-solving and teamwork
- Leadership development through student organizations
- College and career readiness
- Strong partnerships with local businesses and our community
Our students aren’t just learning from textbooks — they’re designing, building, creating, marketing, coding, leading, and caring for others. They are discovering their passions and preparing for successful futures right here in Tomah.
We are incredibly grateful for our dedicated CTE educators who make this possible:
