On October 21, 2025, Tomah High School proudly hosted the annual National Honor Society (NHS) Induction Ceremony in the high school auditorium. The event recognized students who exemplify the four foundational pillars of NHS—Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character.
NHS Advisor Mr. Michael Bartz opened the ceremony, followed by closing remarks from Principal Dr. Chai Lee, who congratulated students on their achievements and encouraged them to continue serving as role models in academics and citizenship.
Each of the four NHS officers spoke on one of the Society’s core pillars before lighting a symbolic candle.
Lucy Gross – Leadership
Collin Branch – Scholarship
Ruby Joyce – Character
Madelyn Powless – Service
Following the candle lighting, all members recited the official NHS pledge:
“I pledge to maintain high scholastic standing, to endeavor intelligently and courageously to be a leader, to give of myself freely in service to others, and to hold as fundamental and worthy an untarnished character. In doing so, I shall prove myself worthy of a place in the National Honor Society.”
The ceremony celebrated 27 returning members and welcomed new inductees, bringing this year’s total membership to 73 students.
After the induction, students gathered for a group photo before joining their families and guests for a reception honoring the newly inducted members.
Congratulations to our 2025 National Honor Society Members:
