Tomah High School's Academic Decathlon Team makes school HISTORY with their dominant record-breaking performance at the Regional Competition on January 9th.
Tomah took FIRST PLACE with a score of 34,900 points, defeating the 2nd place team by almost 4000 points!
Tomah also scored a RECORD 42 ribbons, with everyone on the team scoring at least 1 ribbon!
HIGHLIGHTS include:
Kaleb Larson set a Tomah Varsity Science RECORD with 700 and took home 8 ribbons and 2nd overall.
Zoe Pergande tied a Scholastic Art RECORD and took home 5 ribbons, including 3rd overall.
Madi McCabe took home 6 ribbons, including 3rd overall, and set the Tomah Science RECORD with 880 points!
Izzy Hilt took home 5 ribbons, including 2nd overall HONORS.
Joanna Stryker took home 9 ribbons, including 6 golds and 1st OVERALL!
Tomah is ranked 5th in the state so far as they pursue a chance at the National Competition. They will compete next at the State level on February 26th and 27th in Green Bay.
