Each year the Wisconsin Athletic Directors Association acknowledges a special group of people who go above and beyond for their athletic departments. These people step up when needed and take on responsibilities at sporting events that typically go unnoticed but are a vital part of creating an amazing atmosphere. This year’s recipient of the Wisconsin Athletic Service Award goes to our very own “Voice of the Timberwolves”- Mr. Nathan Jungmeyer
For over 20 years, Nathan has been a dedicated history teacher at Tomah High School. In 2004-2005, he was asked to begin announcing athletic events, and from that moment, he became known as the “Voice of the Timberwolves.” His passion for Tomah sports has grown immensely over the years, and his contributions have brought unmatched energy and excitement to our games.
The community and students enjoy his voice and the music selections he carefully curates for each event, creating an atmosphere that embodies school spirit. Without Nathan, our game nights wouldn’t be the same.
Being the Voice of the Timberwolves, however, comes with sacrifices, including time away from his beautiful family—his wife, Kathleen, and their children, Daniel, Thomas, Aubrey, and Annie. Beyond his role as a teacher and announcer, Nathan is also actively involved in our TEA, Diversity Club, and Forensics programs, showcasing his dedication to enriching our school community in countless ways.
We are so grateful for all Nathan does for Tomah Athletics and Activities. Howl On!
