What is a Junior Conference?

As a part of our Comprehensive Counseling Program, all 11th grade students will participate in a Junior Conference. Each 11th grade student, and parent/guardian, will take time to meet with their school counselor. This individual meeting lasts 30-60 minutes and takes an in-depth look at the student's senior year and future career plans. The discussion will revolve around:

  • Student strengths
  • High School participation (activities, clubs, volunteer hours, work experience, etc.)
  • Credit check & options for senior year courses
  • Plans for after graduation:
    • University
    • Technical College
    • Military
    • World of Work
  • Steps to achieve student’s career goals
