Memo:  District Update – COVID 19

Mission:  Tomah Area School District is committed to providing a safe learning environment for students and workplace for district faculty.  We continue to implement risk mitigation practices that include face coverings optional  physical distancing as practical, frequent handwashing, and additional practices that promote safe schools.

Process:  Meeting as needed, a team that includes local medical professionals, our school nurse, two board members, and administrators review school district and Monroe County COVID 19 data. School District data is available on our website. The Superintendent will provide an update to the TASD learning community if necessary.

Planning: Tomah Area School District continues to prepare for contingencies based on the most up to date data which directly impacts in-person instruction with the potential for a move to virtual instruction. The 2022-2023 Return to School Plan was reviewed and approved by the TASD Board of Eduation on May 16, 2022.

No change to current instructional delivery system.

Last week Monroe County was raised to a HIGH level of community transmission.  If your child tests positive or lives with someone who has tested positive, please reach out to our school nurses at 608-374-7015 or 608-374-5024.  Our nurses will help determine dates and options for returning to school.  Remember our school testing site at Robert Kupper Learning Center is open Monday-Friday 7:30 - 3:30.  You can preregister here (this link can also be found on our district website).  If you have any covid related questions, please reach out to our school nursing staff and they will assist you.
