The week of November 16th is American Education Week! A time to honor and celebrate the incredible gifts and talents of our education professionals at Tomah Area School District! It’s with great respect and pride for me to take this opportunity and thank the Tomah Area School District teachers, paraprofessionals, aides, maintenance personnel, administration, transportation team, technology staff, administrative support personnel, food service employees, central office staff, and substitute teachers for the outstanding dedication and commitment they offer our students, families, and the community. We are very proud of their efforts ensuring Tomah Area School District students receive the finest academic programming as well as co-curricular experiences reflecting High Quality Student Learning – Every Child – Every Day!
Our professional educators in every department provide incredible opportunities for children as they move along their educational journey. Due to COVID 19, the journey this year is stressful for our Tomah Area School District employee family - in their workplace and at home. Education is a very social profession and with changes in the education space created by the pandemic every aspect of what they could do in the past has changed to meet health and safety requirements in this new environment. They continue to work through weeks where information and protocols for delivering their craft dedicated to empowering children may change daily. Each day they take these challenges and create outstanding educational opportunities illustrating their roles as innovators, creators, and champions of our children and our community. It’s demanding and exhausting work, and they meet the challenges every day.
Tomah Area School District professionals exemplify the proudest traditions of public education and define excellence in education. American Education Week is our opportunity to honor and celebrate the Tomah Area School District employee family for their commitment and incredible service to our students, families, and community!
