School Safety
At Tomah Area School District, the safety of our students and staff is our highest priority. We are committed to maintaining secure, supportive learning environments where every member of our Wolf Pack feels protected, respected, and ready to learn. Through strong partnerships with families, staff, and local emergency services, we take a proactive approach to safety every day.
Standard Response Protocol (SRP)
Our district follows the Standard Response Protocol (SRP), a nationally recognized approach to school safety. SRP provides clear, consistent language and actions for students and staff to follow during different types of situations. This includes five key responses—Hold, Secure, Lockdown, Evacuate, and Shelter—each designed to keep everyone safe and ensure a coordinated response with first responders. By practicing and using SRP, we help ensure that everyone knows what to do and can act quickly and confidently when it matters most.
